Abstract Landscape Art Show at the Sandler Center, Virginia Beach

I am honored to have a solo show at the Sandler Center for the Performing Arts in Virginia Beach. There will be an opening on December 9 from 6-8PM and I hope you attend. Almost all of the pieces are new and I am excited to display my newest work which involves abstract landscapes, some of which have hidden or barely visible human figures.

I will be there and will speak a little about my work. Hope to be able to again see those I know and perhaps some who are interested but have not seen my work. So invite your friends.

Reflections

Water has such an iridescent quality that I enjoy interpreting in my paintings. This art piece captures the fiery reflections of fall.

In the Garden

This painting is my interpretation of lovely flower in my sister-in-law’s garden. A bit of variance from usual bits of reds, but the pink was so striking. Enjoy this latest addition to my landscape series.

Forest Figure

Notice some of my new landscape paintings also include figures. Here in the autumn forest a figure is enjoying the bountiful scene. I hope to incorporate figures in future paintings that will take more effort to discover.

End of Winter

My backyard is a marsh . This paint shows the melting snow; something we don’t see very often in my area of Virginia. This reminds me of Connecticut where I was born. It will be my greeting card for the Christmas season.

Bright Passage

This large and colorful art piece is a sort of light at the end of the tunnel. As part of my newest landscape series, it is a bright spot. It is still in progress so keep tuned for updates!

Afternoon Marshside

In autumn my yard becomes a dream  palette of reds and golds.  The light on the marsh changes and reflects as the day goes on. Even the colors of the grass vary at different times. Enjoy!
